Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to your use of ShowWork. In these terms, ShowWork, we, us, and our refer to the ShowWork product and its operator. You means the person or organization using the service.

ShowWork helps companies create coding challenges, invite candidates, collect submissions, run basic checks, and review results. Candidates can open invite links, download starter files, submit completed work, and track their applications when signed in.

By creating an account, opening an invite link, uploading content, or otherwise using ShowWork, you agree to these terms.

ShowWork has two main account roles: company accounts and candidate accounts. Company accounts may include owners and admins. Owners manage company settings and members; admins manage challenges, invites, and secure review assignments. Candidate accounts can track tasks and view their own submissions.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You should use accurate account information and keep your email current.
• You may not use someone else's account without permission.
• If you create a company account, you confirm that you are allowed to act for that company or hiring team.
• Companies are responsible for ensuring their account, member, and challenge information is accurate.

Companies are responsible for the challenge briefs, rubrics, starter files, required file lists, deadlines, and invite links they create. Candidates are responsible for the code, files, and written answers they submit.

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You give ShowWork the limited permission needed to host, store, process, analyze, display, and transmit that content so the service can work. For example, we need to store starter files for candidate download and show submitted files and answers to the hiring team that requested them.

Companies should only upload materials they have the right to use and share with candidates. Candidates should only submit work they are allowed to share with the company that invited them.

ShowWork supports starter zip files and candidate submission zip files. The current upload limit for candidate submissions is 25MB.

• Do not upload malware, secrets, production credentials, private keys, or data you are not allowed to share.
• Do not upload sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the challenge and you have permission to do so.
• Companies should avoid including real customer data in starter files.
• Candidates should remove local environment secrets before submitting a zip.

We may reject, remove, or restrict files if they create security, legal, or operational risk.

ShowWork can queue assistive AI evaluation using the rubric, candidate answers, uploaded files, starter file metadata, and optional reference solution metadata. This evaluation is meant to help reviewers, but it may be incomplete, fail for operational reasons, or miss issues that a human reviewer would catch.

When configured, ShowWork may use AI features to screen submissions or rank candidates. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Companies are responsible for reviewing submissions and making their own hiring decisions. Candidates should not treat AI output as a final hiring decision.

ShowWork is designed so AI is assistive only. Companies should keep a human reviewer in the loop, review relevant evidence, and comply with employment, privacy, notice, and anti-discrimination obligations that apply to their hiring process.

ShowWork does not promise that AI grades, screens, rankings, or review summaries are accurate, fair, complete, or suitable for any particular hiring decision.

You agree not to use ShowWork to:

• Break the law or violate someone else's rights.
• Upload malware, harmful code, spam, or abusive content.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, storage restrictions, or rate limits.
• Scrape, probe, overload, or disrupt the service.
• Misrepresent who you are or which company you represent.
• Use candidate submissions outside the hiring or evaluation process without the candidate's permission.

ShowWork is an early product. We may change, pause, or remove parts of the service as we improve it. We try to keep the app reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent storage, or error-free operation.

You should keep your own copies of important challenge materials, candidate submissions, and hiring records.

You may stop using ShowWork at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account violates these terms, creates risk for the service, or is being used in a way that could harm other users.

After termination, some information may remain in backups, logs, or records where retention is needed for security, legal, or operational reasons.

ShowWork is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties that arise from course of dealing or usage of trade.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, ShowWork will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, hiring decisions, candidate decisions, or business interruption.

Some laws do not allow certain disclaimers or liability limits. In those cases, the limits apply only to the extent allowed by law.

We may update these terms as the product changes. When we make a material change, we will update the date on this page. Your continued use of ShowWork after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
